Ushahidi is a platform for crowdsourcing crisis reporting. The engine has since been used by various organizations from Aljazeera for reporting on crisis in the Gaza strip to election monitoring in Mexico and Afghanistan.

African Pixel is involved in the development of an iPhone client application for Ushahidi.

The Ushahidi iPhone application is an Open Source project hosted on GitHub [http://github.com/ushahidi/Ushahidi_iPhone/].

Features:

• Sync incidents with any publicly available instance of Ushahidi
• Two incident visualizations: incident list and incident map
• Get incident details by category including descriptions, photographs, news reports
• Post incident reports to any publicly available instance of Ushahidi
